Masking Technique With Brush in Photoshop CS4

Hi guys.. today i'll post about Selection Technique with Magic Wand tool in Adobe Photoshop CS4, it will discussing about how to selecting object and makes the background of the layer becoming transparent and substitute with other background, so you can change the object with your desired background, hope it can be useful for you that have hobby or looking for step by step tutorial about Photoshop..

Preparation :
* Adobe Photoshop & Object Picture

It's a simple technique and easy to implement.. and u can directly try with this now ^^
Just Follow the Instruction below:
1. Start Your Adobe Photoshop Program
2. Open the picture that you want to edit
3. Make more one layer (Menu > Layer > New > Layer) for the background with pattern or colour that you like (you can use Paint Bucket tool for colouring the layer)
and now you have 2 layers : 1 layer is for layer background and the other is the object layer that you want to edit, put the background layer below the object layer, it will look like this

4. Now, Select Layer of the object and and pick the Magic Wand on the tool box, then select the (wide) white area on the object (our goal is make the white background become background that we desire) until the object is rounded by dotted line, Magic Wand tolerance 32% >> (more tolerance will makes the selection area more spesific and contrast)

5. After selecting is done with Magic Wand tools, press del button it will makes the area that we selcet becoming transparent like this.

6. Activate the background layer with click on the left side of the background layer until eyes symbol is visible, and now you can save your project unto .PSD File and .JPEG file in the File > Save menu.

And finally it finished :)
